Federal Title IA Mission, Goals, and Objectives
The mission of MSAD #40 Title 1A/ supplemental instruction programs is to provide high quality reading and math instruction so that all students can reach district and state standards.
Goals for 2006-2007 include the following:
| Providing high quality instructional programs and services |
| Providing consistency across the district in services, programs, instruction and identification procedures |
| Improving our diagnostic approach to supplemental instruction and academic interventions, including the development of Response to Intervention procedures |
| Improving formative assessment in reading and math in order to improve our responsive instruction |
| Emphasizing a proactive approach to family involvement and communication |
Objectives for 2006-2007 include the following:
| Hiring and training math instructors in all buildings |
| Ensuring that all Title 1A staff provide high quality direct instruction to Title 1A identified students |
| Developing and implementing a consistent, written identification procedure for students receiving Title 1A services |
| Improving record keeping procedures to facilitate communication about services provided to students across the district |
| Developing a parent involvement position emphasizing proactive communication |
| Providing Title 1A support to MVHS |
