The designated site for the new middle school.	The new school had it's groundbreaking ceremony on September 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the Medomak Valley High School campus. The current MSAD #40 fifth and sixth graders attended this event, as they will be the first classes to enter the new middle school.


Efforts underway to complete the foundation.	This is the very last section of foundation to be poured for the new Middle School. It was completed on 12/20/06.


The steel frame for the Middle School was started to be assembled on January 3, 2007

The cold weather has slowed the steel erection crew a bit. However, progress continues with the second story floor joist (supports) and decking being installed. The decking will have 3 1/2 inches of concrete poured on top of it in the Spring once it gets warm enough.

February 26, 2007. The roof framing is nearly complete for the first 2/3rds of the building and exterior wall framing is well under way. The actual roof decking will be started with the next week or so and once the decking is in place, the steel framing for the Gym will start as soon as the roof deck is completed.	The Middle School construction project slowed to a near stop during the past couple of weeks as the temperatures stayed in the single digits. The warmer weather this week has brought with it a great deal of activity at the site including the start of the roof decking!



Progress continues on the exterior of the new school. As the building continues to evolve, so does work to the parking lot that lies close by.

Progress on the new Middle School is continuing very well. All of the rooms on the second floor have been framed and sheetrock has started! The gym is almost completely framed. The 1st floor cement slab was poured last week.	Students will soon be taking advantage of the newly paved track located between the high school and new middle school.

Progress continues on the new tennis courts that are being installed.
