Welcome to Prescott Memorial School.  Prescott is located in Washington, Maine and has an enrollment of about one hundred and twenty students.  We have a variety of programs for Kindergarten through sixth grade.  We have a self-contained classroom at each grade level and an additional first grade class to help keep our class sizes averaging fifteen students. In addition, Prescott offers art, physical education, and music once a week. Additional support is offered to students through special education, Title I, speech and other interventions.  Our school also houses the TLC program for some of the district’s special need students.

The community of Washington has always supported the school since its construction over fifty years ago and many community events are held at the school. The school events are always well attended by family and friends.   The experienced staff works very hard as a team to make our school an inviting place for all and to maintain high expectations for our students.  The staff works to give the students a variety of experiences in and out of the school setting.  An example is the Children’s Stage Adventures, which is a  theater residency for our students now funded by parent and community support.
