RSU 40 is a school district of around 1800 students that serves 5 towns in Knox and Lincoln counties. Our website may be found at www.msad40.org. Our website serves as a resource for our families, community, school board and as a first impression to those who may be interested in moving to our communities.

We are seeking proposals for a website design. A new website will contain approximately the same amount of content as our current site. We are seeking a more modern appearance, responsive design, and improved navigation/organization in a new site. It is important for us to convey a positive, professional and welcoming image or our school district to our community and those looking to move to our communities through our redesigned website.
We are looking for a design company with experience in websites for districts with multiple schools. Other features needed in our website design include:

ADA compliance
Modern, common CMS as backbone
File management with search capabilities
Forms management
Google calendar integration
Pictures/slideshow
Page-level permissions.  A design that allows for easy content management by end users that might not be "tech users"
Option for self-hosting
Responsive design
Logo design/branding

We are looking to start our website redesign in February, 2021 with a 6 - 12 month completion window. We have a budget that is not to exceed $20,000.
