About
The RSU 40 technology department supports the instructional needs of all staff and students. We also support the district network and infrastructure, student information system, students and staff accounts and applications, device inventory, repair and management, the communication system, and provide help desk support for our users.
The district supports 1:1 access to technology for students in grades K – 12.

Data and Privacy
RSU 40 is a member of the Maine Student Data Privacy Alliance (MESPA). As part of the alliance, we ask our vendors to sign a Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) adhering to all federal and state laws surrounding the privacy of our students.
RSU40 has a Google Education Workplace domain for all students and staff and it is widely used for communication, collaboration, and learning. The Google Apps for Education core services are the heart of Google’s educational offering to schools. The core services are Gmail, Calendar, Classroom, Contacts, Drive, Docs, Forms, Groups, Sheets, Sites, Slides, Meets, and Vault. These services are provided under the Google Apps for Education agreement.
